Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has visited the Biman Bangladesh Airlines's new aircraft 'Hansbala'. On Wednesday, he visited and visited the VVIP terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on the second Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. During this time, the Prime Minister looked at various parts including the cockpit of the aircraft and talked to the officials.

Boeing authorities handed over the new Boering Dreamliner to Biman Director (Flight Operations) Captain Farhat Hasan Jamil on November 29th in Seattle, USA. A 15-hour flyover from Seattle's Boeing Factory arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on December 1, 2012. The aircraft, named by the Prime Minister, will begin the first commercial flight on Dhaka-London route from 10 December.

Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which is 20 percent more fuel efficient than the other aircraft, can fly 16 hours continuously at 650 miles per hour. There are also Wi-Fi systems on this flight while flying 43 thousand feet high.

In 2008, 10 new Dreamliners were bought for $ 2.1 billion between Bangladesh and Boeing companies. Of these, four 777-300 ER models and two 737-800 models have been added to the aircraft fleet. The first 787-8 Dreamliner, named 'Akashbina', came in the country on August 19.

Two other Dreamliners named 'Rajhangs' and 'Sankhachil' will be added to the aircraft fleet by September 2019, said General Manager of Biman (Public Relations) Shakil Meraaj.

Shakil Meraaj said in the first light that the Prime Minister named the new 10 aircraft of the aircraft. From December 10, the new two Dreamliners will operate six flights on Dhaka-London route, four on Dhaka-Dammam route and three flights on Dhaka-Bangkok route.
