In the seven constituencies of Comilla, former and current 14 members of the Upazila Parishad have collected the nomination forms of different parties for the 11th parliamentary elections. Among them, four are presently the chairman of the Upazila Parishad. The rest of the former

Among the 14 people, there are presently three and former five chairman of Awami League. There are four current BNP chairmen. There is a former chairman of the Jatiya Party and individual one.

Asked the assistant returning and district election officer. Jahangir Hossain said no instructions have been given about whether the elected representatives of various government positions should be resigned after getting the final nomination. The instructions will be available from the Election Commission in a day or two.

Comilla-1 (Daudkandi and Meghna) seats in the district and chairman of Daudkandi upazila council Mohammad Ali, Chairman of Meghna Upazila Parishad. Abdus Salam and former chairman Shafiqul Alam submitted party nomination forms.

Meghna Upazila Parishad's former chairman Shafiqul Alam said, 'I have made a town of Charpur upazila. I was the first chairman of this upazila. Now I want to go to Parliament for the development of Daudkandi and Meghnabasis. I hope the party will nominate me.

Comilla-2 (Homna and Titas) constituency, BNP chairperson of the Homena Upazila Parishad Azizur Rahman Mollah and former district Awami League member and former Chairman of Titas Upazila Parveen Parvez Hossain Sarkar sought the party's nomination.

Asked, Homna Upazila Parishad chairman Azizur Rahman Molla said, "MK Anwar Sahib was our candidate in the Comilla-2 constituency. Due to his death, I got the party nomination form to be the candidate.

Comilla-3 (Muradnagar) Syed Abdul Qayum, chairman of Muradnagar Upazila Parishad and Jahangir Alam Sarkar, general secretary of UP district unit, and former chairman of Upazila Parishad, submitted the nomination form in onstituency.

Comilla-4 (Debiwarar) BNP-backed candidate Upazila Parishad chairman Ruhul Amin and former chairman of Upazila Parishad and current MP Razi Mohammad Fakhrul sought the nomination of the party in constituency.

Comilla-5 (Burichang and Brahmanpara) Burichang Upazila Parishad Chairman and Upazila BNP President ATM Mizanur Rahman and Brahmanpara Upazila Parishad's former independent chairman Shamsul Alam collected nomination forms from the BNP's constituencies. Sajjad Hossain, the joint general secretary of the South District Awami League and former chairman of Burichang Upazila Parishad, is seeking the party's nomination.

Burichang Upazila Parishad chairman ATM Mizanur Rahman said, "I wanted to nominate the party. I hope the party will nominate me. ' Former chairman of the Upazila Parishad Sajjad Hossain said, "As a field worker, I have won the election of the Union Parishad election, and the chairman post in the Upazila Parishad election. In 2016, I was defeated by the margin of 46 votes in the chairman position of the district council election. Using the experience of the field, I want to be a candidate for parliamentary elections.

Comilla-8 (Barura) seat, Barura Upazila President of the Jatiya Party, two times former Chairman and current MP Nurul Islam submitted the nomination form. Manoharganj Upazila Parishad Chairman and Upazila BNP President Elias Patwari, who is seeking the nomination of BNP in Comilla-9 (Laksam and Manoharganj) seats

Asked, District Awami League President Abdul Awal Sarker said, "They are former and current representatives of the people. They may want to get their nomination. It's a good competition. " BNP's central committee's co-organizing secretary Mostak Mia said that anyone can ask for nomination from the party. The party will nominate the eligible and surviving candidates.
