The policy for the disadvantaged population in government jobs is being done




The Government is formulating policies to ensure the rights of the disabled people, minority ethnic groups, and the disadvantaged people in government jobs. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, 'There was a movement against quota. This movement was followed soon after. That's why we canceled the quota system. However, we are making a policy. '

The Prime Minister further said, "The disabled, minority ethnic group or backward castes - they should get a job properly and ensure their rights in the service."

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said this at a function organized on the occasion of the 27th International Disability Day and 20th National Disability Day at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Monday morning.

Pointing out that her government is working to protect the rights of disabled people since coming to power in 1996, the Prime Minister said, "It is our goal that we can give them their due rights as a person and that we can utilize the power within them."

Referring to many other opportunities, including creating welfare foundation for disabled people and engaging them in sports, specially in the Olympics, the Prime Minister said, "They are winning the gold for us, it is understood through their latent talent. So they can also work for our country.

The Social Welfare Ministry of the government organized this event with the theme 'Empowerment of people with disabilities and common people empowerment'.

Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon presided over the function. Health Minister Mohammad Nasim spoke on the occasion as special guest. Social Welfare Secretary Zillar Rahman and President of National Disability Forum Sayedul Haque also spoke on the occasion.

State Minister for Social Welfare Nuruzzaman Ahmed and Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Welfare Ministry Mozammel Hossain were present on the stage.

The Prime Minister said after the Awami League government came to power, two laws passed by the 'Disability Rights and Protection Act, 2013' and 'Neuro Developmental Disability Protection Trust Act, 2013'. The rules have already been formulated. He said that instructions will be given to the disabled people and other facilities wherever there will be deployment. Instructions have to be given to them in educational institutions and all other places, including facilities for special toilets.

The Prime Minister also said that the greeting of two Eid, Bengali and English New Year and Christmas greeting cards was made by drawing pictures of these people with disabilities.
