Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said this while addressing the main function of 'Rokeya Padak-018' distribution program organized on the occasion of Begum Rokeya Day celebration at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital on Sunday.

Sheikh Hasina advised mothers to establish a friendly relationship without leaving any distance between the boys and girls, so that if there is any problem boys and girls can tell their mother about their own mind. In recognition of outstanding contribution to women empowerment this year, five prominent women of the country were awarded the Begum Rokeya Padak-2018. They are former state minister Jebunnesa Talukder, former education teacher of Comilla Women's College Professor Johra Anis, renowned social and cultural activist of Sunamganj Shila Chowdhury, noted writer and social worker Rama Chowdhury and writer and social worker of Brahmanbaria district Rokeya Begum.
