The bail granted to Khaleda Zia in the case of subversion of Comilla



The chamber court has not adjourned the bail of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in the case of sabotage in Comilla. Regarding bail, the court sent the petition of the petition to the regular bench of the Appellate Division for hearing. On Thursday, the hearing will be heard on the full bench of the Appellate Division.


On Tuesday, Justice Hassan Foyez Siddiqui gave the order. As a result, the bail granted to the High Court has remained in force for now.

On this day Khaleda Zia's hearing, AJ Mohammad Ali Advocate Zainul Abedin, Barrister M Mahbub Uddin Khokan, Barrister Badruddoza Badal and Advocate Faruk Hossain were present. The state was attorney general, Mahbubey Alam and deputy attorney general. Md. Bashirullah

Bashirullah said, on November 28, the High Court granted bail to Khaleda Zia. The court sent an appeal to the appeals division bench to suspend the bail and the court sent it to the bench. The hearing will be held next Thursday.

Earlier on November 28, the High Court bench comprising Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice SM Mujibur Rahman, granted bail to Khaleda Zia in the case.

The police filed a lawsuit against 32 people in a case filed against Khaleda Zia in the custody of the convoy of Chowdagram in Comilla on January 25, 2015. On September 13, the District and Sessions Judges Court of Comilla rejected the bail application of Khaleda Zia. He appealed to the High Court against the Kharij and seeks bail.

Lawyers said that, to get Khaleda Zia released, Zia Orphanage and Charitable Trust case and a bus in Comilla will be granted bail in the murder case of people killed. He was imprisoned in the Orphanage trust case from February 8 in Dhaka's old Central Jail. Later, in this case, the High Court gave him 10 years in jail instead of 5 years.

Besides, on October 30, he was sentenced to seven years in Dhaka's Special Judge Court-5 Charitable Trust Case. He is now convicted for 17 years in two cases.
