His family confirmed that he died in a hospital while he was under treatment at 3pm on Friday.

On November 18, when Amjad Hossain Brenstroke at his home, he was immediately taken to Impals Hospital in the capital. Because of the serious situation, he was kept on life support.

Amjad Hossain was born on 14 August 1942 in Jamalpur. Since childhood, he was fond of literature. He came to Dhaka in the 1950's and was involved in literary and dramatization.

The beginning of the journey was through acting in the movie 'Your My' directed by Mohiuddin. He then starred in the Mustafa Din directed by Mustafiz.

Salauddin made the film with Amjad Hossain's play 'Shatpat' Amzad Hossain acted as the hero. Then he started working at Zahir Raihan unit.

In this way, in 1967, he made films for himself to work for a long time.
