Eight stars will contest national elections

Eight people are participating in the eleventh national election. Two of them were cricketer, a footballer and the other five came from the cultural scene. Of the eight, six will contest the Awami League from the boat symbol. The rest of the two BNP and Jatiya Party

Awami League, BNP and Jatiya Party on Sunday released their final list of candidates. However, the BNP has not yet released their final list of candidates.

Actor and Culture Minister Asaduzzaman Noor will contest from Nilphamari-2 constituency from Awami League. Earlier he was elected a member of the Parliament from 2001 to 2008 and 2014. Asaduzzaman Noor will fight against the BNP Moniruzzaman.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Naimur Rahman Durjoy will contest from the Manikganj-1 constituency as a candidate for Awami League this year. He is the sitting MP of this constituency. Former footballer Abdus Salam Murshedi will fight for Awami League in Khulna-4 constituency for the Eleventh National Parliament election.
