Candidates who got back



Appeal hearing began on Thursday from 10:30 am on Thursday, to return the candidacy against the cancellation of nomination papers for the 11th parliamentary elections. Up to 12 noon, the hearing for 50 people was heard. In this, 25 people got back the candidacy.

The Appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda is going on in the court at the 10th floor of the Election Commission building of Agargaon.

Today's hearing began in Chapainawabganj-1 constituency Nawab Mohammad Shamasul Huda appeals. The Election Commission canceled his nomination papers on the appeal. Then there was the hearing of appeals filed by Morshed Milton, the nominated candidate of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's Bogra-7 constituency. After the hearing, his nomination papers were declared valid. At that time Khandaker Abu Ashfaq and Dhaka-20 constituency Tamiz Uddin also returned the candidacy. Both of them are BNP candidates.

Kishoreganj-2 constituency Major (Retd.) Md. Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan and Patuakhali -3 seats. Golam Maula Rony's nomination papers were declared valid. Jhenaidah-2 seats Abdul Majid returned the candidacy.

The nomination papers have been approved in Jamalpur-4 constituency Faridul Kabir Talukder (Shamim). He is the candidate of the BNP. Mohammad Shahjahan returned to Patuakhali-3 constituency.

Jahirul Islam Mintoo of Madaripur-1 constituency and Abdul Kaiyum Chowdhury of Sylhet-3 also succeeded in appealing.

The eleventh parliamentary elections will be held on 30 December. The last day of nomination papers was on November 29. Then on Sunday, the nomination papers were selected. Returning officers canceled 786 out of the three thousand 65 nomination papers submitted for contesting 300 parliamentary seats in the election. Among them are BNP, Jatiya Party and many other party strong candidates.

The Election Commission took the appeal from Monday and Wednesday till Wednesday. A total of 543 appeals were filed in three days. On the first day 84, on the second day 237 and on the third day on Wednesday, 222 applications were submitted on Wednesday to the Election Commission. Today the hearing will be a serial number of 1 to 160 applications. The Commission will take an appeal hearing on Friday from 161 to 310, and from 311 serials to 543 on Saturday.
